For our educators

Services we provide educators working with neurodivergent students and their families.

Education

We facilitate in-school professional development workshops around a variety of topics related to neurodiversity and inclusion filtered through an educational lens (e.g., understanding the learning differences of neurodivergent students, interpreting behavior as communication, evidence-based strategies for behavior management, implementation strategies for IEP/504 plans in the classroom, and incorporating executive skills opportunities in the day-to-day curriculum).  Our team works with the school to customize educational sessions that are consistent with school’s culture and philosophy.

We host meetings for the school parent and caregiver community that bring awareness and education around neurodiversity and its many facets.  We do so using our perspective as both educators and parents, bridging both domains.  All sessions are facilitated around topics of interest to each parent group.

We work with students directly to build their capacity: tailoring sessions that strengthen coping skillsets and emotional regulation.  We bring evidence-based practices into executive skills trainings for youth that reinforce organization, task completion, future-orientated learning, and problem solving across their developmental pathways.

We work with school teams in conjunction with their caregiver partners to share a common language that seeks to maximize student learning, life skills and forward-focused goals.

We post a bimonthly newsletter that brings current topics, tips, and information about what is happening in the neurodivergent community.

Support

We support educators by helping them find the resources they need to educate all children in the many ways they learn.

Our online educator membership community is invitation only.  You will find community, support, mentoring and alternative viewpoints here, as well as opportunities to interact with us directly through weekly office hours.

One-on-one coaching sessions for educators help you build teacher toolkits that work for teaching all children, not just those that are neurodivergent.  Live in-class coaching helps educators apply and implement strategies within the classroom setting.  We also focus on strengthening the home-school connection while preventing teacher burnout.

As part of our educational planning services for schools, we work with school administrators of students with learning differences that are in the transition planning process and need help finding the right fit for students with a variety of learning profiles and diagnoses.

We mentor educators as they bridge the home-school connection with neurodivergent families so that all systems are best serving the child.  We work with both educators and parents to find strategies and tactics that work in the classroom and how to translate those to the home environment.

Advocacy

We stand with schools that need help as they build a more inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming school culture for their students.

We encourage educators and school staff to become allies and advocates for all children, regardless of ability.

We create opportunities for schools teams to more thoroughly examine their inclusion practices and do better, make changes, and reframe their school culture to better serve all learners.
